n researching, my paternal grandfather, Allen M Boyle and my grandmother, Violet (Lima) Boyle, were listed in the 1910 federal census as living in Honokaa, Hawaii. I know my grandfather was a bookkeeper at the sugar plantation. It ia my understanding tht thet both died there;;;Violet in 1913, and Allen some time before 1930; I plan to travel to Honokaa this summer to search your local cemetaries for headstones. I also plan to check the archives of the local newspapers for anything tht might be there. such as births, weddingd, deaths, or articles. I was a very 'stormy.relationship...Alan's second wife (don'y know er name) actually killed my grandfather. At this time I have no photos but will attach as soon as i get some. I hope to find relatves of my grandmother. I hve been told that she died giving birth to my uncle in 1913. The three boys ended up in the states and are now all dead.
Jeannine...I am a researcher and am writing a book about the girls seminary Violet LIma attended in Honolulu. Your grandmother's essay from 1890 is in my hands. I would love to share it with you.

I'll shoot you an e-mail, and my address is richmortenson@gmail.com. We live just a few blocks from the Honokaa library and would be happy to help in any way we can. I must warn you, I know nothing about genealogy. Maybe I will learn something!
Any idea what denomination your grandparents were?
There are several cemetaries here, and more in the areas outside the town itsellf. My wife and I will keep an eye out for the Boyle markers.
